Heat some beef stock or chicken stock. I use the box stock (less salt) than dry stock.
Pour into the couscous.
Once it's cool add the following.
Small tin of corn kernels or baby corn spears
Small tin or peas or precooked frozen peas.
Diced red capsican
Cooked and diced bacon or diced ham or turkey..left over from Xmas.
Diced cheese...tasty or blue vein or fetta
This can be eaten on it's own and you can add any veg you have on hand.

This sounds yummy. I will have to make it when I get better. I don't think Chef Rob will be up to that much cooking. ;)

It is red pepper. I am assuming hot red pepper but I might be wrong on that.

Yes you could Toni. My father in law won't even eat ground black pepper he says it is too spicy so I put in red or yellow bell pepper instead of hot peppers when I make stuff for him.

Sorry guys, I forgot we call things by different names. I don't use those hot red peppers (small things) as we don't like them.
I love Red, yellow, green or orange Dell Peppers.

Try this with steamed fish broken through it. Even some smoked fish.

Okay, so I'm not well informed when it comes to food but what is couscous?

It is a pasta that is comes from northern Africa. It comes in different sizes but the most common size in North America is the really small stuff. It is great because it is so quick and easy. It comes in boxes and should be with the other pastas.

Barb the cool thing about it is you don't have to boil it. You just pour the boiling liquid over it cover it with plastic wrap and let it sit for about 5 minutes. You fluff it with a fork and add in whatever you want.

It is amazing the flavours you can get by having beef stock or whatever you want as your liquid. Like all things experiment until you find what you like.
