BTCC Rescue members have seen some very sad and horrific cases come into our rescue organization but none have touched our hearts as much as our newest rescue named Hogan. Hogan is a 12 week old puppy that has a condition known as cerebellar hypoplasia. His brain did not grow properly while he was in utero and because of this Hogan is partially paralysed and is unable to move without assistance. He can stand with help but has problems with his balance. Hogan was surrendered to our organization by his previous owners because they felt that they could not deal with having a special needs puppy.
BTCC Rescue would like to help this lovely, sweet and gentle puppy by raising funds to buy him a specially designed canine wheelchair and to have him see veterinary specialists to help his chances of regaining any movement in his limbs. We also need help with purchasing dog diapers, a dog carrier, and the other necessary equipment needed to care for this special little pup.
Despite his handicaps, Hogan is a bright and happy puppy that loves attention. He is very alert and loves to be around other dogs. Although he is not able to play with them, he enjoys the interaction with them and likes to give a big bark when he feels he is being ignored! Hogan is a little hero, he loves life...you can see it in his eyes. He was just given a body that doesn’t work properly. It is his determination to live, love, and play that makes his situation so heartwrenching. He wants so much to play with his foster brothers and sisters and he wants to walk to you to be cuddled, but he can’t and we need to help him. Hogan is used to being carried by his foster Mom and Dad in a dog carrier or staying in a laundry basket by himself and playing with toys by wiggling his feet. He is a typical boston terrier puppy in personality but sadly, he cannot do the same things that other puppies can do.
Please join us in helping Hogan. Your donations are greatly needed to help this lovely puppy get a chance at a new life. With your help, we can get Hogan a wheelchair and have him start his new life filled with new experiences and joy. Best of all, he can have an almost normal life thanks to the mobility provided by his wheelchair.
