Stella had some ticks on her and my husband thought maybe we could spray her with OFF. I don't think that's a good idea. Is it safe? I saw a organic pet repellant spray that I thought would be best. Do any of you spray your BTs with OFF or like products?

OFF is definitely not safe for dogs. Its toxic. It is probably not good for her coat and skin, and even worse if she tried to lick herself when she had it on.

I don't know about OFF specifically, but I do know that general any chemical insect repellent spray shouldn't really be sprayed on human skin directly. If it contains Deet that will also eat through your plastic clothing.

You might want to get some Frontline Plus or Advantix from your vet. Mine are on Frontline and have NEVER had a flea or tic...thank God :)

OFF is definitely toxic and it's not even recommended to spray directly on human skin. They recommend that you spray it on your clothes. I know that Avon's Skin So Soft is recommended and that a lot of folks use it on their dogs. Check out this website (http://www.avontrailblazers.com/Skin_So_Soft_Uses.htm), scroll down a bit and it will tell you how to use it.
