A friend of mine,on another site called and she knows a breeder that had one pup left. His mom had a c-section and killed the other pups. This one does have a cleft palate,so he might not make it.But,I HAVE to try!!!
I got him the other day,and so far,so good.He weighs 8 ounces,too.
No not much sleep, but I don't sleep alot anyway.
I will take him to the vet, later today.See what they say.Prayers for this little guy, please.I'm home all day thursday.Plan to come home for lunches and feed him again when I have to go in.I will get a pic and be back soon.Just had to share.

OMG! He is adorable, and THANK YOU for taking him! He will live, and Willy is a perfect name! THanks for sharing...Isn't 8 ounces a GREAT size for a 5 day old boston?

Oh Sandy......your an absolute ANGEL to take him under your wings like this :) And with your care, I'm sure that he has a really good chance. Please keep us posted. I'm really curious to hear what the vet says, especially about the cleft palate.

The vet says it is a BAD cleft in his palate. But,to keep doing what I'm doing, cause it's working.Eating and peeing and pooping and sleeping and wiggling around. That's my baby.
Oh,and my Mom HATES the name Willy.Any suggestions?
I don't know.I may still call him that, though. Can you folks come up with a better name???
Using a food scale,it seems as though he's doing good.
I sure hope he makes it.I'm doing my best.Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
One day at a time.

Update!!! The baby is still doing well.Just fed him abit ago,He peed and pooped!
I'm sure hopeful that he will continue to do well. The vet did say it is a severe cleft in his palate.
May need surgery someday.
I know,he's only 5 days old,and I shouldn't try to plan ahead, since he may not make it.I so hope that he will.
So far so good.Taking it one day at a time.
I worry cause I work tomorrow.I will come home and feed him during my lunch break. They will just have to understand if my lunch takes abit longer than an hour. They shouldn't get too upset,I'm always there, always on time, and I do my job extremely well-if I do say so myself!(LOL)
Once I show his picture around,I doubt I'll have any problems, with anyone.
Keep him in your thoughts and prayers!!!

I hope your little guy continues to do well. I will keep praying that he does well. Won't he need to eat more often than just on your lunch break? I don't know not an expert but I think he would need it more often.

Pity you can't smuggle him into work with you. Are you tube feeding or bottle feeding?
Tube is safer with a severe cleft. He's doing very well to still be here at 5 days.Keep us posted on this little battlers progress.

Good Luck Sandy and I'm thrilled to hear that he's still winning the battle.

Do you know how to tube feed Sandy, if not maybe Sue could help you with this?
